November 5, 2007: This website is an archive of the former website,, which was created 10 years ago by Charles Jenks. It became one of the most populace sites in the US, and an important resource on the antiwar movement, student activism, 'depleted' uranium and other topics. Jenks authored virtually all of its web pages and multimedia content (photographs, audio, video, and pdf files. As the author and registered owner of that site, his purpose here is to preserve an important slice of the history of the grassroots peace movement in the US over the past decade. He is maintaining this historical archive as a service to the greater peace movement, and to the many friends of Traprock Peace Center. Blogs have been consolidated and the calendar has been archived for security reasons; all other links remain the same, and virtually all blog content remains intact.

THIS SITE NO LONGER REFLECTS THE CURRENT AND ONGOING WORK OF TRAPROCK PEACE CENTER, which has reorganized its board and moved to Greenfield, Mass. To contact Traprock Peace Center, call 413-773-7427 or visit its site. Charles Jenks is posting new material to, a multimedia blog and resource center.

Touchstone's Offering to the Children of the Holy Land

Our Friends at Touchstone Farm & Yoga Center make this sweet offering:

Give a gift of Peace this season
and at the same time supply food, medicine and shelter
to a child in the Holy Land.

Touchstone is offering a CD of Songs and Dances of Peace
as a benefit to raise funds for children suffering
from the war in the Holy Land. .

The tragedy of war in any time is that
it is often a tale of governments
with narrow-minded self-interests
hurting populations who,
were they free from their governments,
would live happily together under their vines and fig trees.
So often it is the simple people and, especially,
the children who suffer.

The funds raised from the distribution of this CD
will be sent to an Israeli Professor at Hebrew University
who is a moderate and who is a Peace Cultivator,
who has been working hand in hand
with the Israeli-Palestinian peace loving community for years.
She will distribute the funds directly to different
small organizations and individuals
whose work is to supply food, medicine and care
to the besieged Palestinian children ---
often at great risk to their own lives.

We are offering this CD to those who
donate $20 or more in this fund-raiser.
To order the CD (or tape) go to .

Your contribution will go
directly to the unified moderate
Israeli-Palestinian Peace community
and will be very very very much appreciated

Give a gift of Peace this season
and at the same time supply food, medicine and shelter
to a child in the Holy Land.
