Mission:
As Christians we are inspired to
practice nonviolence more authentically by living a
more ecologial sound and sustainable life. We
set aside a part of each day for silence and prayer,
and yet remain active in the press of the world, investing
energy in local, regional and global concerns, including
speaking out against war, the death penalty and other
forms of institutional violence.

Mission: The Concord Friday Peace
Vigil gathers every Friday
morning on the small common in Concord Center at the
intersection of three main roads. Our banner reads:
WE WALK WITH ALL WHO SUFFER BECAUSE OF WAR. We have
maintained the Vigil for fourteen years and our purpose
and hope is to remind people of the ongoing tragedy
of war and our country's senseless dependence on war
for solving differences. Those who are not holding the
banner walk around the circle, mindful of so many who
continue to suffer in so many ways because of war.
