Our rights to speech are under attack. Despite record
low approval numbers for Bush and the war in Iraq, the
incursions on our ability to actually voice dissent
have continued unabated. We cannot have a culture
where speech is free as long as it is not exercised.
The students at Pace shouldn’t be punished. They
should be commended. Sometimes it is permissible to
yell fire in a theater… for example when it is
burning.
