March 21, 2003- Over 300 gather at Court Square in Springfield, MA. People lined both sides of street and 4 corners of intersection in demonstration for peace. Demonstrations continued throughout the country.

This rally was called by the Western Mass Coalition to Stop War, a coalition supported by many individuals and peace organizations in Western Massachusetts.

In Chicago, NPR reported that 4500 demonstrated with a heavy police presence. Police were in full riot gear. The previous day, over 10,000 people took over Lake Shore Drive in Chicago, bringing rush hour traffic to a stop. In San Francisco, there were over 1300 arrests, There were also large demonstartions in New York City, Washington, Boston and elsewhere.
