The police conducted a "text book" arrest of 7 people who sat in at US Representative Neal's office. During the sit-in, most gathered in front of Senator John Kerry's office. They then joined others outside the federal building while the seven sat inside Rep. Neal's office. When it came time to transport the six into the police van, the police brought the van into the building and closed the doors so the transport would be private. The seven were taken to the Springfield police station where they were held until bail was set.
